With version 1.6.3 of PowerPTC a more generic single sign-on model is supported for student information systems that do not support SAML. With this initial release, Infinite Campus can now be used for guardian/parent account authentication. The framework is generic and support for other SIS systems may be added in the future. Unfortunately, PowerPTC uses an undocumented API in order to authenticate guardians with Infinite Campus. As this isn’t an officially supported method from Infinite Campus, it may be changed, removed, or otherwise broken at any point without notice, so please keep this in mind when using this feature.
